Our Rise and Mission:
"During my time volunteering at a hospice, I was deeply moved by witnessing the struggles some residents faced with something as fundamental as eating. I fed them, but I wondered if there was an easier way for them to eat that did not result in periodic cleanup. This experience, combined with my background in robotics and the support from the MAPS Engineering Program, inspired me to create the Safe-T-Spoon. Integrating gyroscopic technology for stabilization and focusing on ergonomic design for comfort, we developed a solution that offers independence and dignity back to its users. The Safe-T-Spoon is a culmination of empathy, innovation, and collaboration, aimed at making mealtime enjoyable and less challenging for everyone."
